The dealership in Newark Road was honoured in the 2020 Kia Dealer Excellence Awards.
The team were commended by Kia for the remarkable work done to ensure that Covid safety requirements and customer needs were met when people came to purchase a vehicle.
As an experienced family-run operation, the dealership was further recognised as one of the UK's top performing dealerships for trusted and transparent customer service.
A Boongate Kia representative said: "We're extremely proud to have been awarded a Dealer Excellence Award from Kia. This achievement would have never been possible without the hard work and dedication of all of our staff here, so they deserve a massive thanks for everything they've done in such a difficult period."
Of the 190 Kia dealers across the UK, seven awards were given out on the night.
Kia said that each of the winners had made exceptional efforts in an unprecedented year and that innovation had been the key to their success.
