Revealed: Wendy's plans to open burger shop in Maskew Avenue
The famous burger place planned up to 400 outlets across the UK, and after opening their very first restaurant in Reading, they're now preparing their move to Peterborough.
According to Building Control documents submitted yesterday, June 9, to Peterborough City Council, a new Wendy's restaurant will be heading to 1 Maskew Avenue.
The extensive menu is similar to McDonald's, though with a fair-few added extras including chilli cheese fries, chili con carne (in a pot!), bacon and cheese stuffed potato, baconator fries - we could go on!
To add, they will also be bringing their sausage, egg and cheese croissant to their UK menu as part of their breakfast sandwiches.
There are a variety of options available, but if you want to view the full UK menu, you can do so here.
Earlier this year, Todd Penegor, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Wendy's Company, said: "At Wendy’s, our vision is to become the world’s most thriving and beloved restaurant brand and we can’t wait to bring Wendy’s to the United Kingdom in 2021.
"Our research tells us that UK consumers love hamburgers, they love Wendy’s, and we’re excited to offer a differentiated customer and employee experience that starts with real food and real people. We look forward to welcoming new employees, Wendy’s fans and first-time customers through our doors soon!"
