One person was rescued from the vehicle by firefighters wearing water gear, before they were left in the care of the ambulance service.

Crews returned to their stations by 8.30am.

More rain is expected in the remainder of the week in and around city. Fire services have urged members of public to pay attention to flood alerts and warnings from the Environment Agency and drive cautiously.
