Bulky waste collections planned in Bretton and Orton

The collections have been arranged in a bid to reduce fly-tipping (Picture: PCC)

The upcoming Bretton collection, following one on May 8, will be in South Bretton on Saturday, May 22.

Three locations will be visited by the bin lorry, starting with the Copeland Centre from 10am to 11am, moving on to the Tyesdale Centre from 11.15am to 12.15pm, and finishing at Sacred Heart Primary School, Tollgate, from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.

Waste will only be collected at these times from these designated areas. Any waste left outside of these times will be classed as fly-tipping.

Further collections will occur on the third Saturday of each month.

In Orton Waterville a lorry will arrive at the small car park behind the shops at Orton Centre on Saturday, May 29 and will be on site from 10am to 1pm.

Neither collection will accept ashes, soil, bricks, rubble, stone, gravel, concrete, sand, asbestos, oil, paint, tyres or trade waste.
