City College Peterborough is offering people the opportunity to learn how to make a chair with bespoke furniture designer Matteo Fogale.
The designer and lecturer will be leading the workshop, which will include tips on how to care for wood and the use of hand-held tools in joinery.
The two-hour session at the recently opened community space on Bridge Street starts at 1pm.
A £5 workshop enrolment fee will be donated to The Green Backyard in Peterborough.
The chairs will be assembled from pre-cut and pre-drilled plywood and timber and the session will guide participants on joining pieces with screws, sanding and applying a wax finish.
There are limited places available to take part in the workshop and bookings should be made by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The workshop is for people aged 19 and over.
