Three places to pick pumpkins in Peterborough this October

Where can you pick your own pumpkin this Halloween?
Pumpkin picking will be on offer at Sacrewell Farm, Hill Farm and Tyrell's Farm this October

Sacrewell Farm

Pumpkin-picking will be on offer at Sacrewell Farm as part of its Scarewell half-term activities from October 23-31.

The spooky activity days will run from 9am to 5pm throughout the October holiday, with witches, ghouls and chocolate fun.

Booking is necessary, with specific times given for each activity in order to keep visitors safe during the event.

Hill Farm

The pick your own squash field is already open at Hill Farm, on Oundle Road, but the pumpkins need another few weeks before they'll be ready to pick.

Other crops available at the farm until October include autumn raspberries, sweetcorn and ornamental gourds.

The farm has advised that it gets very busy during half-term, so anyone hoping for a bigger selection to choose from should visit earlier in the month.

Prices range from £1 to £12 depending on size and a range of size, colour, texture and taste is available.

Tyrell's Farm

Tyrell's Farm in Cowbit, Lincolnshire, will be open for pumpkin pickers every weekend in October, plus all of half-term week.

Pick your pumpkins from 10am to 4pm on October 9/10, 16/17, 23/24 and then through from October 25-31.

The farm is also opening late night until 7.30pm on October 27.

Find a variety of giant pumpkins, white pumpkins, knobbly pumpkins and Cinderella pumpkins as well as the pick your own.

Refreshments will be available for almost all days (except October 17) as well as toilet facilities.

The farm said: "All the above is subject to availability, the Great British weather and any Covid restrictions at the time."
