There are adults in the 40s and 50s who want to do something different, maybe due to boredom, redundancy (because of Covid) or perhaps their children have grown up and moved out. Is it too late? No.

In our interview, which you can hear below, Peterborough Matters caught up with mature students Paul Hales and Clare Watchorn, who both had good jobs but wanted to do something different.

Paul studied History and Archaeology and started a new career after getting an archaeology role at Historic England, while Clare studied Sociology; prior to studying she was an HR Manager and has now gained employment within school trust.

Both have retrained to gain jobs they found more rewarding - after getting firsts in their degrees.
