A 39-year-old man from Peterborough's Justice Way has been charged with carrying out distraction thefts.
Lawrence Rooney was arrested in Wales on Tuesday, July 19 in connection with three distraction burglaries in the Cambridgeshire, Cheshire and North Wales police areas.
On June 24, 2022, Rooney allegedly carried out a distraction burglary at a 98-year-old woman's home in Warwick Road, Werrington, Peterborough.
He is also charged with carrying out two similar alleged offences on July 16 - first at the home of an 86-year-old woman in Stanney Lane, Ellesmere Port, Cheshire and again at the home of a 76-year-old woman in Heron Close, Broughton, Flintshire.
A Cambridgeshire Constabulary statement reads: "A man from Peterborough has been charged with burgling elderly people across the country.
"Following joint work between all three forces, Lawrence Rooney has been charged with three counts of distraction burglary.
"Rooney, of Justice Way, Hampton Vale, Peterborough, has been remanded in prison to appear at Mold Crown Court on August 19."
