The first works to take place by Skanska and Peterborough City Council are street light cabling upgrades in Eyrescroft.

These works will begin from the week commencing Monday February 15 and are planned for a duration of up to ten weeks. As a result, footpath diversions and restrictions to parking areas may be required in order to carry out the improvements. Skanska have assured that operatives will be on-site during the works to assist with access arrangements.

Also proposed is resurfacing of a section of the northbound carriageway on Bretton Way.

Weather permitting, these works are expected to commence between Monday March 1 and Friday March 12.

During these improvement works, Skanska has asked residents and drivers to note that there will be no vehicular access/exit available from Milton Way. Access to properties in this area will be available via the Copeland roundabout and onto Huntsmans Gate to Sebrights Way.

In a note to Bretton Parish Council, Anna Jürs, customer liaison officer at Skanska, wrote: "The city council and its contractor will take every opportunity to ensure the works progress with the minimum of inconvenience and your assistance and co-operation would be appreciated."

Any questions related to the proposed works should be directed to Anna Jürs via the Peterborough Direct Service on 01733 747474, or by email.
