A Peterborough playgroup has received a £1,000 donation from the Amazon team in Peterborough.
The donation to Orton Longueville Playgroup, which provides pre-school education for children aged two-and-a-half to four years old, will be used to purchase new resources and offer new experiences to the children within the setting.
Speaking about the donation, Gareth Davies, general manager at Amazon in Peterborough, said: “We’re pleased to make this donation to Orton Longueville Playgroup on behalf of the entire team at Amazon in Peterborough.”
Racheal Jones, manager at Orton Longueville Playgroup, said: “On behalf of everyone at Orton Longueville Playgroup, I would like to thank Gareth and the team at Amazon for this donation.
“Being a not-for-profit organisation, fundraising is at the heart of everything we do, it ensures we can remain open and are able to continue supporting the local community and their families.”
The donation to Orton Longueville Playgroup was made as part of Amazon’s programme to support the communities in and around its operating locations across the UK.
