A motorcycle passenger was taken to hospital with life-changing injuries following a collision in Peterborough.

The crash, which involved a red Yamaha motorcycle and a black Mercedes EQA, happened at about 8.10pm in Skaters Way, at the junction with Goodwin Walk, Werrington, yesterday (December 11).

Emergency services attended the scene and the pillion passenger, a 18-year-old man, was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

The motorcycle rider, a 17-year-old boy, received serious, but non life-threatening injuries, and was also taken to hospital for treatment. 

The Mercedes driver, a man in his 30s who was uninjured, remained at the scene and is assisting enquiries.
