Six fire crews spent almost five hours fighting a blaze at a commercial unit in Peterborough overnight. 

The fire happened in Lincoln Road last night and crews managed to protect three nearby properties.

The incident was scaled down at around 11pm and the last crew left at 3.40am.

A reinspection will take place this morning to ensure no hotspots remain.

A fire investigation will also take place to determine the most likely cause of the fire.

Local residents have been advised to keep their windows closed this morning too.
