Jordan Wade, 28, sexually assaulted a woman while she was sleeping in her Peterborough home on February 3, 2021.

At around 9pm that night, Wade woke his victim up after he'd inappropriately touched her while she slept.

The victim asked Wade to get off of her, and Wade told her that he had been doing it for 10 minutes.

He left the home and the victim reported the assault to police.

On Thursday (22 February), at Peterborough Crown Court, Wade, of Mendip Grove, Peterborough, was jailed for two years and eight months, having been found guilty of assault by penetration.

DC Andrew Donaldson said: “Wade took advantage of the victim while she was sleeping so I am glad he has been jailed.

"I would like to thank the victim for her bravery in coming forward and attending court to give evidence almost three years after the offence.

“Sexual crimes have a massive impact on victims, and we take all allegations very seriously. We would encourage victims to come forward – you will be treated sensitively and supported.”
