The iconic orchestral concert, Battle Proms, will be returning to Burghley House on Saturday, July 13.

In what will be their 19th annual performance at Burghley House, the New English Concert Orchestra returns this summer for another incredible event.

The Picnic Concert will begin in the afternoon of July 13, with a performance from the Battle Proms Belles.

It will end under a sky of fireworks, with "jubilant flag-waving" and traditional scores from Last Night of the Proms, a spokesperson for the event said.

The 2024 Battle Proms programme also features modern pieces, including the 'Dam Busters March', the 'Downton Abbey Theme', and Gershwin's 'Summertime', which will be performed by soprano Denise Leigh.

There will also be fireworks and live cannon fire.

A 'Cavalry through the Ages' horseback show will take place, as well as displays from the British Army's Red Devils parachutists.

The Grace Spitfire will also make an appearance, which was the very plane that shot down the first enemy aircraft on D-Day 80 years ago this June.

Guests are welcome to bring their own picnics and drinks into the auditorium, which looks out onto the Elizabethan architecture of Burghley house.

Anyone who books tickets by the end of April through battleproms.com, will get an Early Booking Discount.

The event will begin at 4:30pm and finish at 10:30pm.

Tickets begin at £51.50, while children's are £22.
