A Cambridgeshire woman is set to challenge her manslaughter conviction today (May 8) after she was jailed for causing the death of a retired midwife.

Auriol Grey was jailed in March 2023 for the manslaughter of retired midwife, Celia Ward, who was from Wyton.

In October 2020, Celia, 77, was out cycling in Huntingdon when Grey began shouting at her and waving at her aggressively.

Grey's behaviour caused Celia to fall into the road where she was hit by a car.

Grey's appeal against conviction will be heard by Dame Victoria Sharp, Mrs Justice Farbey and Mrs Justice Yip in Court 5, The Royal Courts Of Justice in London.
