A prisoner charged with the murder of a fellow inmate in Peterborough prison is set to return to court next month.
Jordan Neale, 26, of HMP Peterborough, appeared at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court charged with murder.
At the hearing held on Monday (July 15), he was remanded in custody.
A date is currently set for a plea and trial preparation hearing on August 12, 2024 at Cambridge Crown Court.
Gareth Jones, 42, was initially taken to Peterborough City Hospital following an incident at the prison and died last Saturday (July 13).
