Peterborough Cathedral has reached halfway in its 'Cathedral in Crisis' campaign, raising £150,000.

The initiative, launched to safeguard the well-loved historic monument, aims to secure £300,000 to ensure the cathedral remains open every day of the week.

The funds promise to keep Peterborough Cathedral a cultural and worship hub in the city.

From £5 gifts to much larger donations, every contribution has contributed to reaching this significant milestone.

Anna Bentley, head of fundraising at the cathedral, said: “We are overwhelmed by the kindness and commitment of our supporters.

“Your generosity is helping to secure a lasting legacy for Peterborough Cathedral, and on this day of love and appreciation, we offer our deepest gratitude to everyone who has made this achievement possible.”

As they celebrate reaching the halfway mark, Peterborough Cathedral continues to call for more support to achieve their full target by the end of March.

Those interested in aiding the preservation of this iconic landmark are encouraged to contribute to their fundraising efforts through their online donation page.
