A woman who was caught supplying ecstasy following a police raid on her home has been jailed for more than two years.

Police raided the home of Samantha Hunt, in Sandpiper Drive, Stanground, Peterborough, on February 13 last year following intelligence of drug-related activity.

Officers seized her mobile phone, and further investigations revealed messages connected to drugs supply.

At Cambridge Crown Court on Wednesday (17), 58-year-old Hunt was sentenced to two years and four months in prison after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of ecstasy.

Detective Inspector Dean Trollope, who investigated, said: “Hunt was running a fairly substantial criminal enterprise, supplying drugs in the Peterborough area.

“Drugs bring misery to our communities in the form of addiction, exploitation and violence, and will not be tolerated.”
