Multiple weather warnings have been issued across Cambridgeshire by the Met Office as Storm Goretti heads towards the county.

A yellow weather warning for ice has been issued for today (January 6) overnight into January 7 as icy patches overnight could lead to disruption up to around 10am.

The Met Office have said that people should expect icy patches on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.

Some areas of Cambridgeshire have been issued a second weather warning for snow from around 6pm on Thursday, January 8, until midday on Friday, January 9.

Areas including Peterborough, Huntingdon, St Ives, St Neots and March can expect heavy snow and difficult travelling conditions as a result of Storm Goretti.

There may be possible travel delays, cancellations, rural communities may be cut off and power cuts may also affect other services.

People should also be prepared for weather warnings to change quickly, with the Met Office recommending people continuously check forecasts in their area.
