An "amazing young man" died in a motorbike crash after he "clipped" the back of a van on the approach to a roundabout.
Liam Knight had been travelling eastbound on the A47 towards the Eye Green Roundabout, near Peterborough, before the fatal crash took place on July 5 last year.
The 20-year-old welder fabricator, from Yaxley, was riding his blue Yamaha motorbike which collided with a white Mercedes Sprinter van.
The van driver, a 21-year-old man from Langham, near Oakham in Rutland, was uninjured and remained at the scene.
Held at Lawrence Court, in Huntingdon, the inquest was heard before area coroner Caroline Jones and attended by a number of Liam's friends and family.
The court heard how the van driver had slowed down on the approach to the roundabout, but Liam's motorbike had "not reduced speed".
The dad to one-year-old Samuel, who used to live in Letchworth, Hertfordshire, collided with the van which caused him to become separated from his motorbike.
This resulted in him "sliding along the carriageway", sustaining significant injuries before "coming to a stop on the opposite side of the carriageway".
Evidence heard how Liam's driving did "not seem to be excessive or unsafe" and that he had been wearing a helmet.
An examination concluded the motorbike had sustained damage to its headlight and handlebars but had no pre-existing defects.
Several members of the public stopped to administer first aid while waiting for paramedics to arrive on scene.
The East of England Ambulance Service transported Liam to Addenbrookes Hospital where he was tragically pronounced dead a short while later.
A postmortem examination and toxicological analysis revealed no alcohol or other substances in Liam's system prior to the crash.
Hearing the evidence, Ms Jones concluded Liam's death was caused by multiple traumatic injuries resulting from a road traffic collision.
Paying tribute, Liam's aunt Karrie Roper described her nephew as "full of energy" who "never stopped laughing".
"He's always lived life very fast. In-fact his uncle said he's managed to live 10 years of his life in the last six months because he was just here, there and everywhere," she said.
"When we used to go shopping, a trip would end up taking over an hour because he was putting stuff in the trolley that we didn't need and taking it back out and would burst out laughing.
"He had a dirty sense of humour. And a wicked mind at times. He was loving and caring to all that met him."
She added: "He could make you laugh, or he could make you scream. He had a way of doing both."
