An inquest into the death of a 16-year-old boy who was fatally stabbed in Peterborough has opened.
Baye Bireme Fall was attacked near the Orton Centre shopping centre in Peterborough on Sunday April 12.
Previously, a 15-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man appeared in court charged with the murder of Mr Fall.
His grieving father Khalifa Fall has since urged young people to be more wary and put down knives.
Area coroner for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Caroline Jones opened Mr Fall's inquest on Thursday April 30 at Vantage House in Huntingdon.
The opening heard that Fall was stabbed in the abdomen and taken to Peterborough City Hospital by the emergency services before sadly dying.
The provisional cause of death was labelled as 1A stab wound to the chest and abdomen.
He was identified by his mother on April 16 and a forensic post-mortem, which was carried out by Dr Anna Biddlestone.
Area coroner Caroline Jones said: "I extend my condolences to the family and friends of Baye Bireme Fall."
The future inquest date is suspended pending a criminal investigation.
