A pedestrian who died after being struck by a car in Peterborough has been named.
Amjid Javaid, 46, of Gilpin Road, Peterborough, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision in Oundle Road, near the junction with Jubilee Road.
The incident happened at 9.46pm on Sunday, May 3.
The driver of the car, a black MG ZS Excite, was a 52-year-old man from Peterborough.
He was arrested on suspicion of causing death through careless/inconsiderate driving.
Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage to come forward, quoting incident 516 of 3 May.
