Police were called to Peterborough this morning (June 10) after a car crashed on a major Cambridgeshire A-road.

The force were called at 6.43am with reports of a Toyota crashing into a barrier on the A47 in Peterborough.

The incident happened near the Brotherhoods Retail Park roundabout.

Peterborough Police reported highways disruption due to the collision and advised drivers to find an alternative route to avoid delays.

A spokesperson for the force said: "The man driving the car was not injured and the vehicle has now been recovered."
