A burglar has been sentenced after he was caught trying to sell property stolen from a home in Peterborough.
Sebastian Hart, 46, was convicted of burglary for the third time after breaking into a house in College Park, off Eastfield Road, on September 2 last year.
Hart entered the house through an open kitchen window while the occupants were out and stole electronic items, computer games, and a purse containing bank cards.
He later tried to use one of the stolen cards at a filling station shop on Eastfield Road, but the transaction failed.
Hart was arrested three days later on September 5 at the CeX shop on Long Causeway, in Peterborough, where he was caught trying to sell some of the stolen items.
Stolen air pods taken in the burglary were tracking in the vicinity of CeX so officers went to the city centre and arrested Hart.

He was also found with a stolen Bluetooth speaker.
Hart was caught on CCTV from a neighbouring house walking towards the victim’s property about 30 minutes before using the stolen bank card at the filling station shop.
On June 3, Hart, of no fixed address, was sentenced at Cambridge Crown Court to three years and ten weeks in prison.
He had pleaded guilty to fraud and was found guilty of burglary following a trial.
DC Lisa Flatters, who led the investigation, said: "This was the third time Hart has been convicted of burglary, so he’s had ample time to learn the error of his ways.
"Burglary is a violation of people’s homes and Hart’s repeat offending is reflected in the length of the sentence handed down by the judge."
