Firefighters have issued an update on a building fire which closed a busy road in Peterborough.
Crews from Stanground, Dogsthorpe, Thorney and the Peterborough Volunteer Fire Brigade attended the incident on London Road.
An aerial appliance from Corby, in Northamptonshire, was also called at around 7.14pm on Saturday (June 20).
A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews worked hard to extinguish the fire using hose reels and jets, and the road was closed."
"The incident was scaled down later into the evening. Crews reinspected the scene throughout Sunday and will continue to do so today (22).
"A fire investigation will be carried out to determine the likely cause of the fire."
