A city's popular water attractions are set to reopen for the summer this week and next week.
Peterborough’s Central Park Paddling Pool opened for the season today (Tuesday), operating daily until August 30, from 10am to 6pm, except Mondays.
Bretton Water Park will open the following week, on Saturday, July 18, and will run on the same daily schedule until Sunday, August 30, from 10am to 4pm, also closed on Mondays.
Councillor Zameer Ali, cabinet member for communities and public safety at Peterborough City Council, said: "We know how popular these attractions are for families across the city, so it's fantastic news that they are opening in time for the school summer holidays and whilst we are enjoying sunny weather.

"We fully appreciate that our summers are becoming hotter and with that in mind we are looking at opening the splash parks earlier next year, where possible, so that more families and children can enjoy them for even longer."
Cllr Ali said both parks offer much more than just water fun and praised the work done to prepare them for reopening.
He said: "Both Central Park and Bretton Park have much more than the water attractions to offer families.
"Our teams have been working hard to prepare both sites for re-opening and we hope families get lots of use out of them this summer."
Central Park also features play areas, a sandpit, a sunken garden, a sensory garden and sports facilities.
Both attractions are free to use.
