An "abnormal load" will travel through Cambridgeshire today (July 17), which could cause slow traffic.

It will pass through the county between 6am and 6pm.

Abnormal loads are wider and/or longer than normal Heavy Goods Vehicles.

The route will follow the A10 southbound, the A142 westbound, the A141 northbound, the A47 westbound, the A1 northbound and the A1 (M) northbound onto its final destination in North Yorkshire.

According to Cambridgeshire County Council, traffic may be slow and might be held whilst manoeuvring the load along certain roads.

The council added that for some abnormal loads, a police escort may be required.
