Hundreds of pupils at a Yaxley school are now enjoying a new sensory and wildflower space .
Fourfields Community Primary School officially opened its garden, named The Warren, at the end of the summer term.
The space aims to encourage hands-on science, quiet reflection, and outdoor education.
Lucy Hewerdine, acting headteacher, said: "Although it's fantastic from an environmental point of view, the garden is also a genuinely multi-purpose space.
"It provides opportunities for outdoor learning, particularly science, offers a quiet area for children who need a calmer environment during the school day or at lunchtime, and supports our commitment to inclusion."
Year 6 pupils played a key role in designing the layout of the garden, and the project has drawn support from across the community.
The Friends of Fourfields funded a permanent gazebo to enable year-round use.
Mrs Hewerdine added: "I think, more than anything, the garden represents what can be achieved when a whole school community comes together.
“I'm really proud of what we've managed to achieve."
