A dangerous driver who reached speeds of more than 100mph during a police chase in Peterborough has been jailed for 23 months.
Adam Abdellouche, 19, was first spotted by officers on patrol in Broadway in the city centre on September 18, 2024,
He was driving a silver Vauxhall Astra believed to be displaying false number plates.
When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, Abdellouche turned into Granville Street and accelerated to around 55mph in a 30mph zone.
He continued to speed along Dogsthorpe Road, failing to give way and nearly crashed into other vehicles.
He then mounted the pavement and crashed into a wall before fleeing the scene on foot.
Abdellouche was chased and swiftly arrested by officers.
He was released on bail pending investigation, but on April 10 this year, officers tried to stop him again, this time near Tallington, Lincolndshire.
An officer, concerned Abdellouche might try to cross a level crossing to escape, parked his vehicle to block the road and activated blue lights.

Abdellouche responded by making a sharp right turn, driving on the wrong side of the road, mounting a grass verge.
He sped off along Stamford Road at more than 120mph, ignoring road signs and driving the wrong way around roundabouts.
Officers deployed a stinger and the vehicle stopped on the A15 between Glinton and Werrington.
Abdellouche ran from the scene but was chased by officers and arrested nearby where he was found to be carrying a knife.
On Tuesday (August 4) at Cambridge Crown Court Abdellouche, of Allexton Gardens in Welland, Peterborough, was jailed for 23 months.
He was disqualified from driving for four years after admitting two counts of dangerous driving and failing to stop.
He also pleaded guilty to driving without a licence and possession of a knife in public.
DC James Walker-Harrison said: "Abdellouche clearly had no consideration for the risk he put others in as he persistently drove dangerously in his failed attempts to get away from officers.
"Thankfully nobody was injured during these two incidents where he recklessly drove at high speed.
"I’m pleased he has now appeared in court and been jailed for his actions."
