Some of Cambridgeshire's most promising young squash players competed in the 2026 Cambridgeshire Junior County Closed Championships.
The event, hosted at Comberton Squash Club for the second consecutive year, saw players from under-9 to under-17 age groups battling it out for county honours.
The championships provided the juniors with a chance to gain vital match experience and enjoy the competitive side of squash.
The club was praised for creating a fantastic environment for the weekend event.
Colin Griggs, Cambridgeshire squash chair and event organiser, said: "It has been fantastic to return to Comberton for the second year running.
"We are very grateful to the club for hosting the championships and providing such a great environment for our junior players.

"The standard and enthusiasm on show throughout the weekend has been excellent, and it is exciting to see the continued growth of junior squash across Cambridgeshire."
The weekend was full of closely fought matches, with many games going down to the wire and providing plenty of entertainment for parents, coaches, and supporters.
The champions in each category were as follows: Artie Morris (Comberton SC) in the mixed under-9, Beatrice Milner (Hunts County SC) in the girls under-13, Michael McKellar (Cambridge SC) in the boys under-13, Cameron Calvert (The Perse School) in the boys under-17, Theo Dawson (Comberton SC) in the boys under-11, Lucy Hilton (Hunts County SC) in the girls under-15, and Samuel Goodger (Ely SC) in the boys under-15.
