A pedestrian and cycle path in Peterborough is set to close next week for maintenance works.

The closure affects the path known as Footpaths around Pheasant Grove, between numbers 27 and 28 Pheasant Grove and Twelvetree Avenue.

The order will prohibit all pedestrians and cyclists from using the footpath and cycle path.

Peterborough City Council said the prohibition is required to allow cut and patch works to be carried out on the route.

The order comes into operation on October 19 and will remain in place until the works are completed.

An alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists will be signed locally on site.
