A free CPR training event will take place at Queensgate Shopping Centre in Peterborough.
Scheduled for Wednesday, October 21, 2026, the event is part of the Restart a Heart Peterborough 2026 campaign, which aims to train 2,026 people in CPR over the course of the year.
The campaign is led by the Resuscitation Team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust (NWAFT), in partnership with emergency services, charities, and community organisations.
Dani [Surname], from the NWAFT Resuscitation Team, said: "We want to make CPR something that people feel confident doing rather than something they are frightened of getting wrong.
"Our ambition is huge: we want to help train 2,026 people in CPR during 2026.
"Every person who learns what to do when someone's heart stops is another potential lifesaver in our community.
"You don't need to be a healthcare professional to save a life.
"You just need to know what to do."
The event is open to all members of the public and will include hands-on CPR training, guidance on recognising cardiac arrest, and instructions on how to use a defibrillator.

Visitors will also learn how to call 999 and request an automated external defibrillator (AED).
Training stations will be set up, allowing attendees to practise CPR on manikins with support from trained instructors.
The event is supported by organisations including MAGPAS, East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust, St John Ambulance, Cambridgeshire Constabulary, and Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service.
Mindray is also contributing toward venue costs.
The event forms part of a broader city-wide campaign, with schools, businesses, and community groups encouraged to take part in CPR training throughout the year.
