The doors opened on Tuesday for Woodland Butchers, JP Butchers and POP Fishmongers, all now moved from their old location at Peterborough City Market which is in the process of being demolished.
Peterborough City Council announced its plans to relocate traders last summer, and now less than a year on the building has opened, with several wooden gondola-style huts also due to open later in the year.
Peterborough Matters popped in quickly to say hello, with customers enjoying the selection of meats on offer and the Jubilee bunting on display.
A delighted Phil Woodland said: "I love it - nice and fresh, clean, tidy - beautiful. The location is great as well.
"It wasn't the smoothest of moves, but once the council got sorted out it was fine, and to be fair to Mr Fitzgerald (PCC leader Wayne Fitzgerald) and the other guys they pulled out the stops and they've done us proud."
