The shop on Oundle Road is doing its part in coming together as a community to help vulnerable people during the coronavirus pandemic.

With plans to deliver shopping as essentials are taken off the shelves around the city, they've announced on Facebook that they'd like to help their locals.

They said: "To all customers in the local area, as COVID-19 becomes more of a serious threat and with many shops becoming empty, we at Nisa Local Oundle Road would like our vulnerable local residents to know that we are here to help.

"If you have difficulty travelling or leaving the house, please call us on 01733 340056 and we will try to do our best to deliver you the essentials you need.

"Nisa Local will offer free delivery so please do contact us. We will still be open during these times so please do come in and see us. Through these difficult times it's important to look out for one another. Best wishes from Raj, Vipul and the family at Nisa Local Oundle Road."

Locals who already visit the shop have praised them for their "wonderful gesture" while informing those in need about their plans.
