White Owl Farm on Hundreds Road already has a private equestrian centre with a series of grass paddocks, stables, indoor and outdoor arenas, and storage.

If the plan is passed, the indoor arena will be altered and used for all-weather indoor dog training, while one paddiock will be used for outdoor agility training.

There are also plans for venue hire, dog shows a few times a year, and workshops for small groups of dogs.

The application to Peterborough City Council's planning department from JMAD Architecture, on behalf of Anne Murray, states: "The dog training business has started in a very low-key way, with the applicant running her own classes from her own home on the site. She has been teaching part time since Sept 2017, splitting her time between Hampshire and Lincolnshire, and since January 2020 is permanently in Crowland and ready to scale up the business.

"The applicant would like to gain permission to officially use part of the site for dog training and to enable her business to grow and providing greater opportunities for other trainers and dog owners to use the facilities."
