ITV’s This Morning, Loose Women and Lorraine will not air today (November 4), Good Morning Britain’s (GMB) Susanna Reid and Ed Balls announced.
A power cut at the Covent Garden studio means the morning talk shows are unable to go on air.
ITV was forced to change up its TV schedule this morning due to the power cut, with GMB airing until 10am, an extra 30 minutes than usual.
Then the broadcaster played the best bits of This Morning.
GMB presenter Ed Balls said: “We'd normally be finding out from This Morning about their show, but unfortunately there's no show.”
He continued: “There's no show, but we're going to be here until 10, which is the most exciting.”
Susanna added: “After which, you'll have the chance to relive some of This Morning's best bits.”
This Morning’s official Instagram account shared a post to its story, confirming the power cut: “Following a power cut overnight in the wider area where our Covent Garden studio is based, we are unable to broadcast Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women live today.
“We will return to our normal schedule as soon as possible.”
Lorraine Kelly confirmed on Instagram that she was on her way to work but that there had been “a little bit of a hoo-ha”.
She told fans that the power cut would mean she could not go on air today.
Emmerdale and Coronation Street soap schedules to change this week
It’s not the only ITV schedule change this week as Emmerdale and Coronation Street are also running slightly differently.
This is due to the broadcaster airing a rugby match on Friday evening (November 6).
The Nations Championship match (Ireland v Argentina) will kick off at 8.10pm on Friday, with coverage starting from 7.15pm.
These broadcast times mean the rugby match will cross over both slots for Emmerdale and Coronation Street, which are usually on at 8pm and 8.30pm respectively.
Soap fans will not see an episode on Sunday, meaning they'll miss out on two of their 10 weekly episodes if they watch both soaps.
