The lifting of social distancing guidelines has allowed the Peterborough LGBTQ+ organisation to plan an event, after the pandemic cleared last year’s calendar.
Pride will make its comeback in Peterborough on Saturday, August 21, with a parade from the Key Theatre starting at 1pm and a party in Cathedral Square from 1.30pm to 6pm.
A spokesperson for Pride said that artist reveals, volunteer opportunities and more information would be released soon.
The Covid-19 crisis forced celebrations online in 2020, scuppering plans for a two-week festival filled with events for the organisation’s third year in the city.
Pride chair Simon Green told Peterborough Matters ahead of the announcement that although “there was a lot of excellent content online … it doesn't manage to replace the opportunity to come together”.
